Innovative dustbin for clean India


Field of invention
The main scope of the project entitled “Innovative dustbin for clean india” is to encourage the public to use the dustbin in public places. The growth of technology and internet is phenomenal in recent years and thus this can used as catalyst to push up the people to use the dustbin.

Background of invention
Most of the people don’t have sense of dropping the waste in dustbin at public. So we have to take responsibility on solving the this problem. Something has to be added as catalyst to make people to use dustbin.Whenever a person drops a waste in to this smart dustbin, She/he gets a small amount of reward such Rs0.25 to his E-wallet. This system solves this problem and thus makes the city clean. This device is like a normal dustbin for dropping the waste, the user has to drop a amount of waste  and the user gets an reward.

Brief summary of the invention
This dustbin allows only the valid weight waste into the wastebin. After recognizing the weight of the waste dropped using the load cell. The ATmega microcontroller controls all the functions. The set of unique OTP is stored inside. Whenever the waste which is dropped exceeds the threshold level then a OTP is displayed in the LCD. The user can use that OTP in a specified own android application. Then if the OTP matches with data’s in remote database, the user gets the reward of Rs0.25 to his/she E-wallet.   

 

Brief description of the block diagram
The block diagram explains the Working of this Smart dustbin (refer Figure 1):
(a)    The Load cell detect amount of weight placed, the resistance of load cell is varied according to the weight.
(b)   The HX711 amplifier detects the signal from load cell, then amplifies it to Atmega328p 
(c)    The unquiet OPT’s are dumped into the Atmega328p which triggers unique OTP for each considerable weight.
(d)   The LCD which is connected with Atmega328p displays OTP for small period of time.
(e)    The OTP is verified with a MySql database with our specified android application.
